- Evolving Systems Introduces Tertio™ 6.0 Service Activationn
Latest Release of Next Generation Solution advances ease of integration and deployment as operators move towards IMS
ENGLEWOOD, COLORADO - Evolving Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ-EVOL), a leading provider of software solutions and services to the wireless, wireline and IP carrier markets, today announced the introduction of Tertio™ 6.0, the latest version of Evolving Systems' market leading service activation solution for next-generation services.
As the pace of new service introduction increases, carriers need to improve the efficiency of their service development lifecycle and minimize the cost of integrating new technologies and equipment. This is especially true as services migrate from conventional telco infrastructure to IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystems) and other next generation architectures. Tertio 6.0 is uniquely positioned for convergent activation of services across old and new technologies, and also provides for rapid integration with new platforms.
Tertio 6.0 provides the latest version of Tertio™ Service Activation, a high performance, multi-domain service activation platform for event driven, automated activation. The product platform has been extensively revised with a sophisticated graphical user interface for faster application configuration.
Tertio 6.0 also delivers enhancements for Tertio™ Service Composer and Tertio™ Activation Designer, powerful graphical tools which enable carriers to install, create and deliver new services quicker, easier and more efficiently.
IMS offers increased flexibility in the way network capabilities can be combined, enabling a richer, more exciting mix of end-user services. Tertio Service Composer is a graphical service modeling tool that simplifies the creation and testing of this mix of services. Tertio Activation Designer is a powerful graphical activation rule configuration tool that speeds the definition of how network features are activated. Evolving Systems introduced these tools in 2004 and they are already being used by more than 25% of customers as they roll out more complex next-generation services.
"IMS presents wireline and wireless network operators with powerful capabilities to support enhanced services, service convergence and network convergence. However, IMS's long-term success depends heavily on the capabilities of carriers' operations systems, including the ability of the activation solution to support this new technology and architecture," said Shira Levine, Senior Research Analyst at IDC, a leading provider of market intelligence and advisory services for the information technology and telecommunications industries.
Commenting on the launch, Stephen Gartside, President and CEO of Evolving Systems, said, "Tertio 6.0 not only helps carriers to install, deploy and launch new services more quickly and easily, it also supports the migration to IMS-based services. These latest developments, combined with the recently launched Tertio™ Content Connector, demonstrate that Evolving Systems is once again leading the activation market in terms of innovation in anticipation of our customers' developing requirements."
Evolving Systems' Tertio activation solution is deployed in 22 countries around the world, supporting a wide range of mobile and fixed voice, data and content services. Evolving Systems will begin shipping Tertio 6.0 immediately to new and existing customers.
